CUAUHNAHUAC REGIONAL MUSEUM - Cortez' Palace - Leyva # 100. Downtown. Phone: 312 81 71 - 312 69 96. Interesting building built in 1526. Be sure to see the fine Diego Rivera Mural on the upstairs patio. It is a very fine work of Rivira's. On the left side of the building is a very fine museum bookstore worth a look. FREE to residents on Sundays.

JARDIN BORDA - Av. Morelos # 271. Downtown. Phone: 318 10 38 - 318 10 56. The home Maxamillian build for his lover Carlota. Named for the archetect Manuel de la Borda who, by the way, is the same one who designed and started construction on the famous Santa Prisca Church that graces Taxco. Jardin Borda has several exhibition halls with changing exhibitions, gardens and a little pond with ducks, a popular local attraction. There is also a nice museum bookstore at the entrance.
