LOG YIN Chinese Restaurant

don't believe Cuernavaca will ever be regarded for it's selection of Chinese
restaurants but there are a few. Also there does not seem, for the most
part, to be the tradition of lunch deals like in the US where, often, you
can get smaller portions of the regular dishes for a lower price with a
little egg drop soup and an egg roll.
On Calle Morelos - kind of southeast
of downtown there is a Chinese restaurant we stopped at around lunch time
called Log Yin and they are typical in that they do not offer a lunch deal
so the dishes and prices are the same for lunch or dinner. So plan to go
for dinner.
When I first saw the name on the sign I thought
it was a clever name for a chinese internet cafe but no, it is a classy
restaurant.
The restaurant is impressive with a lovely
garden area in front. The dining room is also lovely with a very nice view
of a green belt and revine that the back of the property is adjacent to.
The restaurant appears to be well kept and well managed.
The dishes we had were good and there was
enough that we had to take home the leftovers in doggie bags and we actually
ate it later which is always a sign that the food was pretty good.
A little too pricy - the menu designer decided
on the prices based on the meat used so if you like shrimp or lobster go
someplace else. Ouch! |
